When it comes to the exterior, Jeep has upheld the signature Wrangler design while making some key enhancements for the 2024 model. The iconic front end retains its broad-nose style and seven-slot grille; however, the 2024 grille features mesh behind each slot for improved performance. 

This year also introduces minor exterior updates, such as a trail-ready stealth antenna seamlessly integrated into the windshield—a feature not available in the 2023 model. Additionally, the 2024 Wrangler offers a selection of ten all-new rim designs, ranging from 17 to 20 inches, allowing owners greater flexibility in customizing their SUV. 

Like its 2023 predecessor, the 2024 Wrangler continues to provide a wide array of body colors to suit individual style preferences.

Tow-Ready Capability

Although the 2024 Wrangler sports a sleeker and slightly smaller appearance compared to its 2023 predecessor, it doesn't compromise on towing capabilities. The grille can accommodate a factory-installed Warn winch, boasting a capacity of 8,000 lbs (over 3,600 kg). Further enhancing its utility, the 2024 model includes two tow hooks on both the front and rear, offering convenient options for various towing requirements.

The 2024 Wrangler sustains the diverse range of powertrain options seen in the 2023 model, ensuring there's something to suit every driver's needs.

The lineup includes a 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine with 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, a 3.6-liter V-6 engine delivering 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, a powerful 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 engine with 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, and the 4xe plug-in hybrid. 

The hybrid combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine with an electric motor, generating a combined output of 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. And the 4xe offers an electric mode for short drives and transitions to engine power for longer journeys. 

Although there may be minor improvements in fuel efficiency for the 2024 models, the official EPA ratings are not yet available.

Bigger Wheels and Chunkier Tires

Step inside the 2024 Wrangler, and you'll immediately notice the significant improvements in terms of technology and amenities. Jeep has replaced the old infotainment system with a gorgeous water-resistant 12.3-inch widescreen touchscreen that uses Uconnect 5 software. 

This system features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, offering seamless connectivity for your smartphone, along with SiriusXM 360L. The instrument panel is wrapped in soft-touch fabrics with contrast stitching, adding a touch of elegance to the interior. 

One standout feature of the 2024 model is integrating Trails Off-road software directly into the center screen, providing access to various guides for the 62 "Badge of Honor" Jeep trails.

Owners can also subscribe for access to over 3,000 trail guides currently available. In terms of comfort, the 2024 Wrangler offers 12-way power-adjustable front seats, ensuring a comfortable ride even during water fording. 

Wrangler 4xe's Power Box

• Provides four 120-volt outlets with a total output of 30 amps

For those opting for the Wrangler 4xe, Jeep has introduced a Power Box accessory. This power supply unit comes with four 120-volt outlets, providing a total output of 30 amps. The Power Box allows the battery pack to power smartphones and other external devices, adding convenience and versatility to your off-road adventures.

Wrangler's Heritage and Future

Honoring the Legacy: The Willys Package

The Jeep Wrangler has a storied past that traces back to the iconic Willys Jeep of the 1940s. Paying tribute to this heritage, the 2024 Wrangler Sport S offers an exclusive Willys package. This includes four skid plates to safeguard critical components like the transfer case, fuel tank, and transmission oil pan.

Off-Road Mastery: The Rubicon Edition

The Wrangler Rubicon is a byword for off-road capabilities and comes in both gas-powered and 4xe hybrid versions to suit various driving preferences. This high-performance trim offers an integrated off-road camera, steel bumpers, a Rock-Trac full-time transfer case, Tru-Lok rear locker, trailer tow capabilities, steel rock sliders, and a heavy-duty electrical group.
