What's New at SEMA 2025: Off-Road and Truck Highlights
What's New at SEMA 2025?
If you're marking your calendar for one automotive convention this year, SEMA 2025 needs to be it.
This year the event is on November 4-7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and the show is shaping up to be the most expansive yet. We’re expecting over 4.6 million square feet of exhibit space and 2,200+ exhibitors.
With that much ground to cover, you need a game plan. Here’s a bit of what we know so far about what to expect at SEMA 2025 – and what to keep an eye out for if you’re planning to attend.

New Products Showcase
The New Products Showcase is still the crown jewel of SEMA. Reports are that there will be over 2,000 new product entries across 15 categories, so this is ground zero for spotting the next must-have upgrade for your rig.
For the off-road crowd, we’re expecting to see major innovations in:
- ● Modular bed systems that transform your truck into a mobile basecamp
- ● Next-gen lighting solutions with adaptive beam patterns
- ● Lightweight but bombproof bumpers and skid plates
- ● Advanced recovery gear that makes trail repairs easier
- ● Smart towing accessories with integrated monitoring
Our tip? Hit the New Products Showcase first thing in the morning before the crowds descend.
The professional photography setup allows you to see the products clearly, instead of trying to peer through a crowd at individual booths.
The SEMA FutureTech Studio
The FutureTech Studio will feature what you’d expect based on the name: the future!
We’re expecting to see the latest from electric vehicles, hydrogen tech, as well as innovations in synthetic fuels.
But before you write it off as irrelevant to your diesel-loving heart, the reality is that hybrid powertrains are coming to trucks whether we like it or not. So why not get an idea of what might be coming down the pipeline?
Some early FutureTech highlights look like:
- ● Hybrid systems designed for towing and hauling
- ● Electric winches and recovery gear that go easier on your battery
- ● Portable power solutions for overlanding (think EcoFlow)
- ● Advanced battery tech for better handling in extreme temperatures
- ● Retrofit solutions for adding hybrid assist to existing trucks
Battle of the Builders Moves Outside in 2025
One of SEMA's biggest changes for 2025 is moving the Battle of the Builders competition outside.
But this could be a great thing, because moving outdoors means you’ll get better lighting for checking out paint and fabrication details, and way more room to actually walk around the vehicles.
As always, we’re looking forward to live demonstrations and possibly even test drives in some pretty impressive rigs. Categories remain focused on what matters to our community:
- ● Hot Rod & Hot Rod Truck
- ● 4-Wheel Drive & Off-Road
- ● Sport Compact, Import Performance, Luxury & Exotic
- ● Young Guns (the next generation of builders)
The 4-Wheel Drive & Off-Road category is where you'll find the most innovative approaches to common problems – definitely worth a visit.
OEM Presence: What the Big Players Are Bringing
The major manufacturers will be there as usual. Toyota, Ford Performance, Honda Racing Corporation, MOPAR/Stellantis, and Nissan all have significant presences planned. Here's what we’re seeing from early hints at what might come:
Toyota
After the success of the new Tacoma and 4Runner launches, expect to see TRD-developed accessories and maybe even hints at future special editions.
Ford Performance
With the Ranger Raptor finally in the U.S. and Bronco continuing to evolve, Ford's booth should showcase factory-backed performance parts and accessories. Don't be surprised to see some F-150 Lightning off-road concepts either.
MOPAR/Stellantis
Jeep accessories are always a highlight, and with the Gladiator now firmly established, expect to see factory lift kits, beadlock wheels, and trail-ready accessories.
The Sections That Matter Most
With 4.6 million square feet to cover, you need to be strategic. Here's where to focus your time:
West Hall: Truck Central
This is your home base. The West Hall houses trucks, SUVs, off-road gear, and restyling products. Plan to spend at least half your time here!
South Hall Lower: Wheels and Rubber
The Global Tire Expo lives here, along with wheel manufacturers. Sure, it’s tires, but you’ll be impressed by all that you’ll be able to see and get your hands on.
In the past, we’ve seen exhibits on new tire compounds designed for different terrain, as well as new beadlock innovations that actually make trail repairs easier.
Central Hall: Performance Parts
Don't skip this, even if you're not a speed demon. The Central Hall's racing and performance section offers: differential upgrades that improve both on- and off-road performance; cooling solutions for towing in extreme conditions.
SEMA Education
The 99+ free professional education sessions aren't just for shop owners. Sessions usually include topics related to DIY installation techniques for complex mods and even new truck technology. Worth a visit!
SEMA Fest
New for 2025, SEMA Fest brings together car culture and music with headliners Queens of the Stone Age, The Black Crowes, and Neon Trees. It's the perfect way to decompress after a day of sensory overload on the show floor.
