2026 Cor Powersports Snowmobile Schedule

2026 Cor Powersports Snowmobile Schedule - Goats Trail

The 2026 Cor Powersports Cross-Country Schedule Has Been Released!

The Cor Powersports Race Series – always a big favorite here at Goats Trail – has announced its 2026 schedule.

This year marks the circuit's 15th anniversary season, and it looks to be packed with eight events across Minnesota, North Dakota, and Michigan.

Of course, this year's lineup brings back fan-favorite venues, but it's also introducing new challenges that will test the sport's top riders across diverse terrain. Here’s what we know so far – you might need to start planning your PTO for spring 2026 now!

2026 Cor Powersports Season at a Glance:

  • Eight race weekends spanning three states, with multi-year venue contracts ensuring long-term stability

  • Return of the Turtle River Rough Riders 100 in Manvel, ND, after years away

  • Brand new Porcupine Mountains 100 debuts in Ontonagon, MI, as season finale

  • Terrain variety includes plowed lakes, unplowed lakes, ditches, woods, firelanes, and ski hills

  • Defending champion Evan Peppel and Polaris face renewed challenges from Arctic Cat's factory team

Complete 2026 Race Schedule

Based on what we’ve seen from the Cor Powersports team, here’s what 2026 is shaping up to include:

January 10-11: Ottertail 100 – Ottertail, Minnesota

The season opener returns to a venue that delivered Evan Peppel's breakthrough Pro Factory victory last year. This early-season test sets the tone for championship battles ahead.

January 24-25: Heartland 200 – Park Rapids, Minnesota

One of the crown jewel events in cross-country snowmobiling. The Heartland 200 draws the biggest names and delivers crucial early-season championship points.

January 31: Turtle River Rough Riders 100 – Manvel, North Dakota

This event returns to the schedule after years away, featuring challenging cross-country terrain and strong community support that made it a favorite among competitors.

February 14-15: Goodridge/Grygla I-500 – Goodridge, Minnesota

The historic I-500 brings the entire cross-country community together in northwestern Minnesota for one of the sport's most prestigious events.

February 28-March 1: Leech Lake 200 – Walker, Minnesota

Classic Minnesota cross-country racing returns to Walker, delivering the varied terrain that defines authentic regional competition.

March 7-8: Snodeo 200 – Naytahwaush, Minnesota

The historic Naytahwaush venue hosts another major points opportunity as the championship battle intensifies heading into the season's final stretch.

March 21-22: Mt. Zion Championship – Ironwood, Michigan

The fan-favorite ski hill short-course racing returns near Ironwood, delivering the unique challenges that make this event a perennial highlight.

March 28: Porcupine Mountains 100 – Ontonagon, Michigan

Brand new for 2026 and sponsored by Hamilton's North Coast Adventure, this season finale brings fresh terrain and new challenges to close out the championship.

The Championship Battle Heats Up in 2026

Last season saw Polaris dominate the Pro Factory class. They swept the top six championship positions, with Evan Peppel edging out teammates Dan Revering, Boe Bunke, and Aaron Christensen in a tight points battle.

They’ll likely still post a threat, but 2026 is already seeing fresh blood ready for the competition.

Arctic Cat is coming into 2026 with a rejuvenated factory effort led by veteran Zach Herfindahl and returning star Jesse Hallstrom. Both have the experience and speed that will be needed to challenge Polaris' recent dominance – and Arctic Cat's latest race sleds promise improved performance across varied terrain.

Beyond the usual stars, watch for ambitious Semi Pro riders making the jump to Pro Factory competition.

New Venues Bring Fresh Challenges

The return of Turtle River Rough Riders after years away adds nostalgic appeal, but the brand-new Porcupine Mountains 100 may be one of the season's most intriguing additions.

Few has extensive experience with this Ontonagon venue, so it should create a level playing field where adaptation and quick learning separate winners from the rest.

Hamilton's North Coast Adventure's sponsorship brings additional resources and promotion to this Michigan finale. As the season comes to an end (and championship battles reach their peak intensity), this new event could be the one that decides titles.

The placement of Michigan events back-to-back (Mt. Zion followed by Porcupine Mountains) will likely create some interesting logistics for teams. Staying in the Upper Peninsula for consecutive weekends makes sense, but the different venues demand distinct setup approaches.
