Matt's Off-Road Games 2026: Event Highlights
Everything You Need to Know About This Year's Event
It’s crazy to think that we’re about to wrap up another great year here at Goat’s Trail. With the turn of the season comes one of our favorite things: planning for all of next year’s fun events!
We’ve got a ton of fun events lined up for 2026, but one of our favorites? Matt’s Off-Road Games.
One of the top off-roading events of the year, Matt's Off-Road Games is slated to return to Sand Hollow State Park in Hurricane, Utah, from March 19-21, 2026.
2025’s games were a blast. The event was huge, and brought YouTubers and wreckers together for three days of unmitigated chaos on the sand.
Matt's Off-Road Recovery team is raising the bar again in 2026 - and you can bet that we’re looking forward to the traditional fun and a few new surprises.
This year features a full kickoff party on Thursday night, plus the return of the Jalopy Jeep and Wrecker competitions that had everyone talking last year.

The jalopy driver lineup is stacked with familiar faces as well. The confirmed driver list includes some favorites, such as:

- The Peck Brothers are all confirmed.

This year, the ladies are handling emcee duties, with Laura from Laura Farms and Katelynn from Matt's Off-Road Recovery keeping everyone informed, updated, and entertained.
Three Days of Off-Road Action
The 2026 event expands to include a proper Thursday kickoff, making this a full three-day experience. Here's what to expect each day.
Thursday, March 19th – Kickoff Party
Thursday sets the tone with an opening night celebration. The kickoff party includes meet and greet sessions with your favorite YouTubers and off-roaders, live music, and massive giveaways.
Some of our favorite parts include the always-popular off-road school bus rides and a firework show to close out the night. Vendor booths and the Kids/Family Center will also be open.
The structure of the weekend is set, but some exact times may shift as the event gets closer.
Friday, March 20th – Wrecker Competition Day
Friday is all about the wreckers.
The morning kicks off with course staging and safety checks, then the Full Loop Wrecker Course Competition. Competitors will have to find, fix, and recover broken-down vehicles as they traverse the course.
Awards take place later in the day, followed by meet-and-greet sessions, vendor activities, and a Viewer RC Car Competition in the afternoon. Big giveaway prizes drop toward evening - so you’ll want to stick around.
The day wraps up with an Arena Competition – details are being kept under wraps, but the team promises guaranteed chaos.
Saturday, March 21st – Jalopy Jeep Competition Day
Saturday belongs to the Jalopy Jeeps.
This was a big hit last year, with YouTubers partnering up with off-road influencers to tackle one of the most rugged looped courses ever created at Sand Hollow. These budget builds aren't pretty, but they’ll definitely keep you entertained.
The competition runs through the middle of the day, with awards immediately after.
Ongoing Activities Throughout the Event
There’s plenty to see and do at Matt’s Off-Road Games. You can swing by and say hi to us in the vendor area, and catch up with other friends and fans across the event:
-
Vendor carnival games and sponsor booths
-
Kids/Family Center (12-5 PM daily) with bounce houses, sandbox, and school bus rides
-
Meet and greet opportunities with competitors
-
Daily giveaways featuring off-road gear and equipment
-
Discounted guided trail rides and side-by-side rentals
Part of what makes Matt's Off-Road Games special is the commitment to giving back. A portion of all ticket sales goes directly to the Utah Public Lands Alliance and Search & Rescue.
These organizations help keep public lands open and safe so we can all keep playing outside.
